When you have a dispute with someone, you can walk away from it, or ignore it. If you want to deal with or resolve it, you have a range of options.
What are your options?
- Discuss it with the other party, over coffee, and see if your views are reconcilable.
- Your 2nd option is to invite your disputing party to meet with a common friend, or confidant, or a religious or community leader who you both trust to discuss the matter.
- If not, what next? Revert to physical violence or verbal abuse? Call a lawyer? Or become desperate because the dispute is not resolving itself?
There is another way.
Ask someone to guide you and the other person to look properly at and into your dispute. To look beyond what you say and to explore what you really want. To get your interests and concerns on the table. To find better ways than compromise, or giving up, or going to court; to get a solution which enables you to move forward. To get possibilities for optimal solutions in order to progress from being in a dispute to resolving the dispute.
We offer you and your disputing party 30 minutes to 1 hour with us around our table. On a without prejudice basis. At no cost to you. This is an offer to consider if you have the will and the courage to face and resolve your dispute.
What do you need to do?
Simply call us to say you want to make use of this offer. Make the appointment with us for the two of you to discuss your problem. Or give us the contact details of the other person for us to set up the meeting. Speak to Chris and/or MC and we’ll do the rest. (info@chrisfick.co.za / Tel: 021 424 3937)
